Celebrities, bloggers and fashion lovers everywhere have been taking on this trend head on, and like any other trend out there, people either hit or miss. I have loved some interpretations of the corset trend, where people put a hit of originality and make sure to own it.
I personally have a love hate relationship with this trend, but I decided to try it out anyway with my own little twist, before I decide to write it off.
Here is my interpretation
What I did is take the my stripped shirt from H&M and I paired it with a beautifully embroidered black crop top that I permanently borrowed from my mother’s closet, like most things in her wardrobe…, and just paired the look with jeans and a black coat. I definitely got stares of course because people just don’t understand my personal style and frankly it doesn’t bother me because I loved it and that is all that matters. I mean if you are going to put on an outfit you have to ensure that you own it! Haters are gonna hate right?
You know the saying ‘life is too short to wear boring clothes’ that is a quote I try to go by, I mean life is too exciting to for you to be boring all the time [LOL]. Yes some days you can barely wake up, let alone put in effort in an outfit that will slay, but when you do take time to be creative and put an outfit that makes you smile from ear to ear , throw those insecurities to the side and make the world your runway.
Remember Slay Slay Slay!
