I just want to start off by saying HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Yaaaas! 2017 is finally here, I mean 2016 came and left us so quickly, but we move on and make the best of what we have. On that note I wanted to share my new reads, two new books that I received as gifts for Christmas,which I’m so thankful for, these will keep me busy for a while because I might just be reading them more than once.
Gaining Knowledge about the fashion industry is something I have been keen on doing, in previous years I have collected fashion magazine and I have just done research online, when I’ve had the time to.

The fashion design course, by- Steven Faerm.
A little bit about the Authors
Teaches textile and merchandising at both the San Francisco state university and the institute of design and merchandising. She has extensive fashion industry experience, particularly in global product development and sourcing for large retail chains. This piece of information is also written/ found in the book, sadly this is the only information I could find on this author, I have searched high and low surfing the net trying to know more, but didn’t find much information, above all I am truly excited to absorb all this knowledge that she shares.

Steven Faerm is an associate professor of the Parsons school of design (program Director, BFA Fashion Design,2007-2011). A Parsons alumnus (94′) and designer of the year nominee, he began teaching in 1998, while working for esteemed designers such as Marc Jacobs and Donna Karan. He has been “The university distinguished teaching award and the BFA Fashion design program’s teaching excellence award.”
